Mohler, Nixon & Williams Expands Accounting Practice Opens San Francisco Office Location San Francisco, CA - August 28, 2007 - Understanding the needs of growing technology and life sciences companies is the core of Mohler, Nixon & Williams’ (MNW) business. This advantage prompted the firm to physically extend its presence into San Francisco. The practice also focuses on individual tax planning and wealth management needs. “Our clients’ needs are growing and becoming more complex,” says Bill Kelleher, MNW’s managing partner, “While we serve many clients in the San Francisco area, there is much insight that comes from practicing within your client’s ecosystem. Balancing the firm’s expanding global reach while maintaining local ties enables us to better understand our clients’ unique challenges and to develop stronger working relationships with their business advisors and providers.” The firm chose San Francisco’s China Basin Landing building for the office location, which is at 185 Berry Street, Suite 3715, San Francisco CA 94107-1742. The office opened in June 2007 and is led by four experienced MNW professionals. Larry Kammerer, Partner, Emerging Business Services: Larry leads the firm’s Financial Services Group and works closely with emerging businesses, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Prior to MNW, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent seven years serving the audit and tax needs of technology companies. Bertha Minnihan, Partner, ERISA Audit Services: Bertha leads the firm’s ERISA audit practice where she specializes solely in auditing 401(k) employee benefit plans. She is a recognized authority in the field, serving on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s (AICPA) Technical Standards Subcommittee which assists the U.S. Department of Labor. She frequently speaks at seminars and conferences nationwide, and participates as co-chair for the AICPA Benefit Plan conference. Dennis Ondyak, Partner, Tax Services: Dennis has more than 25 years experience providing tax and strategic planning advice to many of the Valley’s well known private and publicly held technology and life sciences companies. Prior to MNW, Dennis was a tax partner with Ernst & Young LLP in their Technology, Communication and Electronics group in San Jose, CA. Kathy Hunter, Director, Business Development: Kathy leads MNW’s business development and marketing efforts. She works closely with the managing partner and business unit leaders to identify and execute the major initiatives for long term growth and corporate development. Her primary focus is building strategic relationships for the firm and developing client opportunities. Prior to MNW, Kathy served as Business Development Manager for another international accounting firm, where she was responsible for strategic sales initiatives within the leading hardware technology companies in Silicon Valley.
