Kent Williams - Owner
Kent is a founding partner of Mohler, Nixon & Williams with experience in both public accounting and private industry. Kent brings a high level of expertise to the multitude of areas of corporate taxation and tax planning; these include taxation of research and development costs, inventory related tax issues, taxation of stock options and other fringe benefits and California tax planning.

Kent brings an important blend of tax experience to MNW. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he spent five years with Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in San Jose. There, he was responsible for tax planning and tax return preparation for a large variety of manufacturing, service, and high technology companies. His responsibilities also included individual, partnership, and small business tax planning and return preparation.

Kent was also with American Microsystems, Inc. (AMI), a major international semiconductor manufacturer, as Corporate Tax Manager. At AMI he was responsible for all tax planning and compliance related to federal, state and foreign income taxes, as well as sales tax, property tax and U.S. customs. He also supervised a variety of tax audits from various taxing jurisdictions.

Kent is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Kent lives in San Jose with his wife, Jessica. He has four grown children and one grandchild.
