Kent is a founding partner of Mohler, Nixon & Williams with experience in both public accounting and private industry. Kent has extensive experience in individual tax return preparation and tax planning. Special areas of expertise include tax planning related to alternative minimum tax, taxation of stock options, executive compensation alternatives and real estate transactions. Currently, Kent serves as the head of the Private Client Services (PCS) segment at MNW.

Upon graduating from Brigham Young University, Kent spent five years with Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in San Jose. There, he was responsible for tax planning and tax return preparation for a large variety of manufacturing, service, and high technology companies. His responsibilities also included individual, partnership, and small business tax planning and return preparation.

Kent is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPA's. He has served with the Boy Scouts of America and is the past president of the Bay Area chapter of the BYU Cougar Club. He lives in San Jose with his wife, Jessica, has four grown children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, Kent can be found spending time with family or sinking putts on the golf course.
