In addition to his individual and executive practice, he has extensive experience in the areas of venture capital, compensation planning (including stock options and deferred compensation), start-up and emerging growth company issues, acquisition reviews, closely-held businesses, and the software industry. He is also experienced in financial planning, as it relates to wealth preservation, diversification and family wealth transfers. Greg graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a joint concentration in accounting and finance. Prior to joining Mohler, Nixon & Williams, he was with Price Waterhouse where he developed expertise in tax planning and consulting to companies ranging from high technology start-ups to large, multi-national corporations. He was Co-Manager of the Price Waterhouse National High Technology Specialty Group, which provided assistance to offices throughout the country on high technology accounting and tax issues. Greg has been a speaker and written articles for the American Electronics Association and the Tax Executives Institute. Greg is a former member of the Executive Board of the Santa Clara County Boy Scouts of America and was its Treasurer for two years. He is the past President of the Giarretto Institute Board of Directors, a non-profit organization which focuses on prevention of child abuse and which was recently merged into the EMQ Children & Family Services Agency. He also served as a board member of the Saratoga Education Foundation. Greg lives in Saratoga with his wife, Lisa, and their children Megan and Sarah. |
